City of Asheville

Camping
I selected a premium campsite at Campfire Lodgings, an RV park about 10 minutes from downtown Asheville. It sat up on the hill and had an incredible view of the blue mountains and French Broad river. Sunsets were some of the most colorful ones I've seen when the clouds weren't covering up the sun. Saturday I moved across the city to a less expensive campsite right on the river.
Beer city
Asheville has over 40 breweries and many are within walking distance. You can almost expect if a restaurant or pub in the downtown area has beer, they're brewing it in house. Some of it was pretty good, a lot of it was mediocre. There's a lot of Mexican influence in the city so there are lots of cantinas, taquerias, burrito shops around. At PIE.ZAA I ordered a couple slices and they were the size of my arm. I checked out a retro arcade that had about 15 pinball machines and a bunch of old video games.
What's next
I'm waiting for a package to arrive at the local post office before heading out. I'm thinking Nashville for Christmas could be interesting!
