Into the Rocky Mountains

Made it out of New Mexico. Traveled up into Pagosa Springs, where I stayed for a few nights on a dirt road in the middle of the mountains. Did some exploring on the motorbike and saw some amazing views. Snow covered mountains, ominous clouds, and a reservoir in the middle of it all.
I continued north and stayed in Poncha Springs for a week. Had more amazing views of snow covered mountains towering all around and did more exploring on the bike.
I landed in Buena Vista (it's pronounced BV) to visit a friend who was my camp counselor at summer camp in NH 15 years ago. He's been living here for eight years and is an outstanding host. He showed me all the cool places and people in town, including the best mountain bike trails, dirt bike loops, places to eat, and spots to grab beer.
