Stone Mountain State Park
I made a short video collection of some photos and videos from an 8-mile hike on and around Stone Mountain
Blue Ridge Parkway
I started the parkway at the Northern terminus in Waynesboro, and took the obligatory picture next to the first Parkway sign. Just 15 minutes down the road, I stopped to hike a section called humpback rocks where I met some other hikers on top. On the way back down that trail, I found an overlook and was able to capture a couple cool shots with the parkway winding by and my camper off to the side. I made it in to my harvest host winery site just before the sun went down. The next day had rain the forecast, so I decided to hold off on more parkway travel, and instead stayed the night at produce stand on the other side of town. Sunday I drove another 125 miles on the parkway through plateau section. It wasn't nearly as scenic as the ridge part, but I still enjoyed it. Driving the parkway has been fun, but definitely have to be paying 100% attention because there are no shoulders and no guardrails.
